Behind the Screens: Meet Christine Anderson, PA-C

In this edition of Behind the Screens, we’re spotlighting Christine Anderson, PA-C, who brings more than a decade of emergency medicine and urgent care experience to Dimer Health. With a passion for patient advocacy and a personal understanding of how confusing the healthcare system can be, Christine ensures that no patient ever feels alone during their recovery journey.
💡 What inspired you to join Dimer Health?
For Christine, joining Dimer Health was about bridging the gap she’s witnessed firsthand and the uncertainty many patients feel when they leave the hospital.
“I’m the only one in my family who works in medicine, and I’ve seen how hard it can be for patients who don’t have a medical background,” she shared. “So often, people go home with minimal instruction and are left wondering what’s normal or what to do next.”
With nearly 11 years of experience as an ER and urgent care Physician Assistant, Christine has guided countless patients through critical moments. At Dimer Health, she saw an opportunity to extend that guidance and help patients feel supported even after discharge.
“I wanted to make sure patients feel comfortable with their transition home. Dimer allows me to do that by providing access and reassurance at a time when they need it most.”
🏡 What do you enjoy most about providing virtual care?
Christine has found that the home setting often creates a more open, comfortable environment for patients.
“Patients are more relaxed in their own space. They have their medications with them, their family nearby - it makes our visits more efficient and personal. We get a more complete picture of their health because we can see their environment and include their care team in real time.”
She’s seen how this model leads to stronger patient relationships and better outcomes.
“Patients feel seen and supported, and that trust makes all the difference.”
How would you describe the value of Dimer’s model?
For Christine, Dimer’s model is transformative because it makes care accessible to patients who might otherwise struggle to reach it.
“The value is unmatched. A lot of patients can’t easily leave home after a hospital stay - whether due to logistics, mobility, or other barriers. With Dimer, they can see a provider quickly and safely without stepping outside.”
That immediacy, Christine notes, doesn’t just improve convenience - it improves outcomes.
“The access to doctors and PAs so soon after discharge is unlike anything else. We’re preventing complications, reducing stress, and giving families peace of mind.”
Is there a patient story that’s stayed with you?
Christine recalls one patient whose experience truly captures why this kind of care matters.
“We were supporting a cancer patient with a port who needed extended access to care - medication refills, reassurance, and guidance during off-hours. Because of Dimer’s 24/7 model, she was able to get everything she needed from home instead of being admitted again.”
That virtual access didn’t just keep her out of the hospital, it gave her back time with her loved ones.
“She was able to stay home with her family, go to the beach, and live her life while still getting the care she needed. That’s the beauty of what we do - giving patients their time back.”
❤️ Why did you choose medicine?
Christine’s decision to become a Physician Assistant was grounded in her desire to make a direct impact on people’s lives, while maintaining the flexibility to explore different areas of medicine.
“When I learned about the PA profession in college, I knew it was for me. It offered the perfect combination of making a difference while maintaining work-life balance and the ability to grow across specialties.”
She’s used that versatility to build a career focused on patient-centered care, from the fast pace of the ER to the one-on-one connection of virtual medicine.
🩺 What do you love most about your profession?
For Christine, being a PA is about the privilege of connection - meeting patients where they are and guiding them toward healing.
“It’s about helping people feel safe and informed. When patients know they’re not alone, that’s when they can truly start to heal.”
🧑🍳 Outside of Work
Outside of work, Christine is all about family, wellness, and finding joy in everyday moments.
She loves spending time at the beach, exercising, and cooking with her husband and kids. Sundays are for recharging - cooking family meals and relaxing with her favorite reality TV shows.
“Cooking helps me unwind and reset for the week. It’s my form of self-care.”
She also loves a challenge, especially a good puzzle.
“I’m a big fan of really hard jigsaw puzzles. It’s the perfect way to focus and decompress.”
